Private
Hi friends,
Well I've decided to be paranoid and make my blog private. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, especially if you don't have a gmail account. I want to make it private pretty soon so just post your email address on the comment board or you can e-mail me at spickett315@hotmail.com so I can add you to the list. Everyone is invited, I just want to know who my audience is. Thanks!

WEEZER
So finally the concert came! It was on Tuesday night so we felt pretty cool being rebellious and hanging out on a weeknight. We put on the Weezer tee's I made (again compliments of Mysha), cranked a Weezer CD and headed south to the E center. I don't who was the moron that put the E center in West Valley, but it is quite a trash hole. The concert began 7:30 on the dot with Tokyo Police Club. They were as good as their name implies. Next was Angels and Airwaves. Not bad, but we definitely could have done with out his profanity between songs. And finally glorious Weezer graced us with their presence. They are such amazing performers. Their songs are great live-just like on CD. Rivers, the lead singer, was hilarious. He had a mini trampoline he would jump on from time to time as well as a soccer ball to kick around. They came out wearing the white jumpsuits from their music video Pork and Beans. They all took turns playing the instruments and singing. They brought 30 Weezer fans with them who play instruments to play the music to Island in the Sun and Beverly Hills. Everyone had their part. They played the music, Rivers sang the lyrics and we sang HipHip or the chorus to Beverly Hills. It was such a bonding experience. We had so much fun screaming along to their songs. We couldn't stop smiling. They said they're coming to concert again next year and we'll be there! I've added some pics and video. I want to apologize now for my rancid singing. I know I'm absolutely terrible so don't feel bad for me. The concert was so loud so I couldn't hear how bad it was, but my camera seemed to pick up just me singing. It's bad so prepare yourself.

We were going for punk rock but we just look gross

They had a big poster of Weezer that you could stick your head in and be part of the band.

They started the show in their "you tube" jumpsuits and eventually switched to a jogging outfit. As for the bag on his head- I have no idea
Note the mini trampoline
Again I apologize for my horrific singing. I ruined all the nice footage I recorded. Dang my vocal cords.

The Greatest Show on Earth
Mysha and I came up with this great idea a while back to kidnap our husbands and abandon them at the circus. Well our plans partially fell through and we ended up just taking them to the circus. I tried to be sneaky about it, but Logan kept "accidentally " figuring things out. He didn't know we were going to the circus, but he knew more than he was supposed to. We left Saturday afternoon. First we stopped in Sardine Canyon for a picnic. Circus animal cookies were for desert. Then we continued south. We parked by the gateway. They still couldn't figure out what we were doing even after many hints. There were signs posted all over town for the circus and crowds of people carrying all sorts of circus paraphernalia but they were still clueless. Finally Jason put two and two together. It was so much fun! The highlights were definitely the elephants, tigers, the goats riding mini horses, and the rebel riders.

More circus cookies. I also posted another shirt I designed thanks to Mysha ( she does most of the work).

LEAF BUG!
We have a vine that covers one side of our house. I noticed that one of the leaves was a little out of place- turns out it wasn't a leaf after all, but a leaf-bug! I 'm not sure what its actually called but I say its a leaf bug ( a leaf turning into a bug), Logan says its a bug leaf ( a bug turning into a leaf). Either way its nuts. We were fascinated by it. I wonder if it changes colors for fall?

Something New
After many requests from my fans, I have decided to post something new (now get off my back about it). A lot has happened since I last wrote so I'll have to give you the compact version.
Thanks to my good friend Mysha, I have been able to follow my life long dream of becoming a fashion designer. Okay, I didn't know I had this life long dream until about a month ago and its not really a dream but it sure has been fun. Here is a shirt I conjured up.

We attended Bear Lake Raspberry days (ironically never eating a raspberry). Our snickers shake was delicious though.

We had a blast from the past in Gunnison and rode the Clarion Loop. It was Madee and Lafe's first time and they did well!

We also tried golfing for basically the first time. It was pretty pathetic at first but we caught on quick and by the end I even got a double bogey!

I enjoyed every minute of the Olympics and I couldn't help but force my preschool children to love the Olympics too so my theme for one week was the Olympics. It gave me an excuse to watch clips online and talk about Michael Phelps while at work. We even had our own opening and closing ceremonies as well as a medal ceremony.

And finally, Labor day weekend started off with a little Lagoon on Saturday. I think the rides make me a lot more nauseous then they used to but it was still a good time. We even tried the new Wicked which was my favorite by far. The weather ruined what was supposed to be a long camping trip. We got to eat the famous Bruce Burgers and my delicious cobbler. Logan and I stayed the night, which we probably wouldn't have if we knew what was coming. It poured and lightening and thundered the whole night.
Here we are eating our lunch at Lagoon in the glamorous parking lot. I'm not sure what Hannah is doing in this picture.

My Paradise!
I think this was Logan's favorite part of the trip- catching lizards. I caught two lizards at once! |
| My favorite part was the wave runner! I'm a Cruella Deville driver. |

USA! USA!
So I am pretty pumped for the Olympics (the song playing is the 100 day count down song to the Olympics in Beijing. Its pretty funny). I have always enjoyed the Olympics, but this year I just feel like being really excited for something and the Olympics just happened to be coming along so I guess I 'll be America's number 1 fan. Gymnastics is my favorite by far-especially the floor routine. The tumbling is amazing, but the dancing is a little odd. I also like track and field and swimming. And how about that Phelps? Rumor has it he eats 10000 calories a day. Can you imagine? Maybe I'll give it a try.

Prepare yourself
So this is a not so happy planet earth clip. In fact I almost boycotted the show after watching this one. I was so angry and I even cried a little. So If you're sensitive (staci) then you may not want to watch. I just want to snuggle that giant polar bear.
TAG!
Here's a tag, but it's for me!
Here are the directions:
1- Leave a comment on this post of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a lot or just a little - anything you remember.
2 - Next, copy these instructions onto your blog and see how many people leave memories about you!

Giant Stingys!
Logan and I just can't get enough of Planet Earth. I dare say it may have even replaced Simpson's, at least for now. The point is that the ocean is disgusting and I don't think I can ever swim in it again. I'm scarred for life.

Recent Happenings
What an eventful summer it has been so far. I was a little hesitant to stay in Logan for the summer (can you believe this is my first summer not living in good old G town- Sheltered!), but we've had so much fun. There always seems to be a festival of some sort and festival is my middle name! Last Thursday we attended my uncle's wedding. We also had the privileged to go to the Living Planet Aquarium. A place I highly recommend. The petting of the sting rays makes it worth the $8.00 alone. William had a hay day there.
Last week in preschool was Heroes week. I did this on purpose so I could dress as a superhero and superhero I was! I think I enjoyed it more than the children.
Going further back in time we went to Gunnison for the fourth of July. That's always classic. Lots of delicious food, fireworks, and swimming. It was also baby Adam's blessing. That boy is big!
Sorry this is brief but we are on our way to feed the ducks!
