Finishing off the bucket list

Logan finished finals!  Yay!  He did such a good job in all his classes.  Smarty pants.  We celebrated by grabbing some dinner and ice cream at the downtown mall and crossing one more place off our bucket list, Timberlake's food and drug.  It was a bit of a let down but that just mostly made us laugh.  

A bunch of the wives surprised our husbands with a painting of the UVA rotunda.  We made up excuses and said we were all going to a movie but instead we took a painting class and painted them a picture.  We all had very little or no skill but I thought they still turned out pretty good.  It was so fun to do.  You were encouraged to bring your own wine and crackers to munch on as well.  Being that none of us drink, it was pretty much lots of unrefined treats like sour patch kids and pop :)  That evening I had organized a final farewell party for everyone at Chris Green Lake but at the very last minute Jack had a terrible fever and we felt we couldn't go.  Mostly to not infect the other kids.  But since we were hosting it, we drove out and took turns running over and saying good bye.  And we had our own little family campfire just a little ways away.

Cramming in the fun

With less than a month before we leave Charlottesville forever, we did our best to cram in as much fun as possible.  This included an outdoor game day with friends, a Cinco de Mayo party, and more.  Jack had his last day of preschool with his little co-op group we had been doing.  And Holden had his first bath which was a family affair.  We enjoyed the nice weather and made some bird feeders and played in bubbles.

Logan and I planned a play date with some of our good friends.  We played kickball, water balloon volleyball and ate treats.  We also made everyone a little yearbook to take with them and to sign.

Adjusting to three

We brought our sweet Holden home and quickly real life began again.  As I said, I was blessed with a great delivery so thankfully I was back on my feet.  The first week was a little crazy as we tried to figure out three kids but overall it went well.  Logan was preparing for finals too.  We went on lots of walks to get fresh air and took cat naps when possible.  I took the kids to a friends birthday party that weekend and we all enjoyed being out of the house.
