My B-Day and more

I celebrated my 28th birthday.  It came on a Monday after a long week of playing in Gunnison for the Fourth of July.  So we were tired and all funned out.  So instead we just relaxed and swam with our friends the Tippetts and Jenna watched the kids while we ate Cafe Rio and watched TV.  Haha.  Not so glamorous but we enjoyed it so much.  We did some apricot picking and Holden continues to be the best baby ever.  We took advantaged of a bunch of free food events that all happened to land on one day.  Free Chick fila, donuts, and 7-11 slurpees.  We spent a day at Cherry Hill, Charlotte got a bike helmet she wouldn't take off and Jack got a hair cut!

I laid him on the bed for a second (yes I was folding laundry so it's way messy) and when i turned around he had fallen asleep.
Cafe Rio and some TV.  Happy Birthday.
Swimming with the Tippetts.
Jack, Macie, and Char.
Jenna made me an amazing cake.

Everybody's talking about my tight pants... He is growing out of clothes quick.  Always wearing a size up.
Jack and Char love Holden and are so good to entertain him.
Picking apricots.

Jenna is so nice to let me mooch on her Costco membership.  It's pretty insane though taking five kids to Costco..
Bear.
Some of the girls happened to be in Utah at the same time so we met up for dinner at City Creek.  Soooo fun to see them.  Whitney, me, Vanessa, Sara, and Erin.
Still lines up his cars.

Free donut day too.

Thanksgiving Point, The 4th of July, and Holden's Blessing

July was a busy month.  I randomly bought a year pass to Thanksgiving Point.  It's a bit of a drive, 40 minutes, but we love going and go once or twice a month.  Char's favorite is riding the ponies and Jack loves the Dino Museum.  We recently did the Curiosity Museum and its their new favorite.

The Fourth of July is definitely a favorite holiday.  We spent in Gunnison of course.  Our reunion was little more laid back this year being that there has been a lot happening and frankly we were all tired, but it didn't disappoint.  The cousins played, we went to Maple Grove, enjoyed the parade and fireworks, had a rootbeer drinking contest, and of course ran the 3rd annual Pickett 5K.

We also blessed Holden and William was baptized.  It was nice to have so much family there.  Logan did a wonderful job blessing him and we must have bad luck because my perfect baby cried through most of the prayer.  (Char screamed as well).  Regardless it was still a beautiful blessing and I was so thankful.  Logan handed Holden to me and about five minutes later I realized that baby poop was everywhere.  He had a blow out all over Logan's heirloom blessing outfit I had worked so hard to get clean.

.25 cent ice cream cones.  Yum.
Jack thrilled to go on the wagon ride.
Locked in jail.
Pony rides!  When I told Char we were going ride ponies she said "I ride a pink pony!"  I explained the ponies weren't pink.  She then asked for a purple one.  I explained they weren't purple either.  She then asked ride one with pink hair....The conversation went on like this for quite some time...

This hair just does its own thing.  Always straight up.
cheeks.
Another blow out.
Getting ready for the 3rd Annual John Jeremiah Farmer's Freeway Fun Run.
Dear Kaye walked with Katie the whole way.  We forgot about her and all went home.  Haha.
Me, Kaye, Leslie and Katie, Marissa, Staci and Tina.
We had a kids fun run too around the park.  Of course there was a collision in the beginning and few kids fell.
We stayed in the cottage to make room for Jason and Aaron's families.  This took us back to our days living in the cottage.  Fond memories.  Jack and Char thought the cottage was a blast and enjoyed reading all the old books.
Grandpa Lynn surprised the grand kids with a new toy....whatever it is, they sure liked it.
Maple Grove.

Holden and John.  Cute little cousins.
This years t shirts for the run.
The parents.  Dad looking thrilled to be there.

Papa Pickett sporting the cool t shirt I gave him for father's day.

Grandma Alice drove the Little Miss float and had special gifts wrapped that she threw out to Jack and Char.  They thought it was the greatest.  A batman monster truck for Jack and a bird for Char.  Char is obsessed with birds lately and is always pretending to catch them.  Grandma Alice looked high and low for a pink one and when she couldn't find one she made her one.  So cute.
Games at the park.
The only picture I got of Holden in his blessing outfit before he dirtied it.  Logan was blessed in it and those are the booties Grandma Chappell made.
I served brunch afterwards.

Alice made this cute baby of made of fruit :)
Cousins eating.
Staci surprised my with birthday candles on the pancakes!

Oh bear...
Jack and Bruce in the picture.  So sweet.

A good day.

Grandma and Grandpa had a special gospel message for us at the park.  We met at the memorial at the park and found ancestors names.

The kids table eating at Denny's.  Note the food on the floor already.
