Jack Daddy Christenson

We explained to Jack that his middle name is Logan.  A little while later I tested him to see if he remembered.
Me, "Jack what's your middle name?
Jack, "Daddy!"
Haha.  Close enough.  Jack loves playing with Daddy.  Seriously, it doesn't seems to make a difference I gave birth to the boy, he loves his dad.  I snuck a picture of Jack and Logan in their blanket hut reading books.

I told Logan that he won this battle, but I was determined to get Charlotte.  At least one of my kids needs to like me better.  So far I think I am winning, granted she depends on me for food and therefore life.

Mirror Mirror

The story of my life is, how do I entertain my children while we are packing/unpacking?  This is the eighth time this year I have either packed or unpacked and I am running out of ideas.  Thankfully Charlotte is easy to entertain.  She found a mirror on our floor and was quite taken with it for a long time.  I couldn't help but bust out the camera.

Halfy Birthday Charlo

Ah what a sweet baby girl.  We are loving seeing little Charlotte grow up.  Thankfully her nicknames are morphing into more endearing names than Charget and Chargees (although these names do pop up here and there).  We often call her Char, Charlo, and Lo Lo.  She is still an amazingly pleasant and happy baby, although she is quite a mama's girl.  She loves Jack and squirms and squeals when she sees him.  She has had a lot of Firsts recently:
first laugh on June 5th when I was tickling her
first official rolling over with no help July 24th
and first tooth popped through August 2nd
She is a little water baby and loves bath and even cold swimming pools don't seem to bother her.  She is close to sitting up alone and can finally ride in the shopping cart with out the car seat.  We love her lots and can't believe how fast she is growing up.
I finally got around to giving her some solid food.  At first there was no reaction, but now she gets giddy and drops her mouth open as soon as I put her on the table.  I think she will be a good eater.
She loves Jack and is fascinated with him.  She is always searching around to stare at him.  He can almost always make her laugh.

She loved eating her bib the most.

Halfy Birthday!

Jack was insisted he help Char blow out her candle.

We love you Lo lo!

Halfy Birthday 2.5

Ah I love this little boy.  He is at a pretty crazy stage where he is a lot of work with a lot of energy but also very fun and makes us laugh a lot.  He NEVER stops talking.  From the second he wakes up until he goes to bed he is chattering.  He recently celebrated his half birthday or as we call it, Halfy Birthday. A little about Jack:

He still loves fruits and vegetables and we have a hard time getting him to eat anything else. The other day we were at the grocery store and he wanted me to buy him a watermelon.  I said no and he threw a temper tantrum until I gave in.  I was getting him an evening snack and suggested crackers, cereal or a poptart.  He requested radishes and carrots.
He is really into knowing everyone/everything's name.  At the grocery store he asks me strangers names.  Any character on TV or a box he wants to know.
He loves Charlotte.  He loves to snuggle her and hold her hand.  I heard him say to Charlotte as he was laying on the floor next to her holding her hand "thanks for holding my hand sissy".  So cute.
He is a little sponge and is learning lots.  He has known his alphabet for a while now and is now learning to count.  He will sometimes count all the way to ten but usually it goes 1 2 3 4 5 7 8 9 10.  He is also surprising me with facts that I don't know where they come from.  He asked me where birds lived and then answered his own question by saying nests (or as he says, "nest-es".  Then he told me to tell him thank you and finished by saying dinosaurs will eat your head.
He refers to his pajamas as night time clothes and his other clothes as daytime clothes.
I love that he calls bananas "banas"
When he finds one of my hairs on the ground (there are lots these days- post pregnancy hair loss), he will bring it to me as if though I lost it.
He asks a lot if he can ride an airplane.  I say, sure you can at Christmas.  Then he will ask, and can I ride a rocket to the moon.  It's so cute I can't say no.  So I just say "maybe later".

Jack with his half cup cake. The tradition for Halfy Birthday is to have a half cupcake, sing Halfy Birthday and everyone says one reason they love the birthday kid. And here is a nice shot of him discovering his nose.  He has just recently started to stick his finger up there.

Jack lining up his cars to watch Cars 2 with him.

Char and Logan watching.

H&H

My sweet sister in law and her high school sweetheart tied the knot a couple of weeks ago.  We are super excited for them and know their children will be gorgeous.  We got to attend the wedding at the Manti temple (which Logan and I were ridiculously late for.  I don't want to talk about it) and the lunch and reception later that day.  Of course I have no pictures of the happy couple but they were beautiful as ever.  I found Jack and Char some cute little outfits for the wedding and pulled them aside for some quick photos.  The pictures are a bit corny but I think thats why I like them so mu

Living Planet Aquarium

We went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy.  I think we went last summer too, but this year Jack was much more excited and entertaining to watch.  He loved running up to each tank to see what was inside.  Logan and my favorite animals were the otters and penguins of course.  I laughed and laughed.

Jack riding the world's largest frog.

Jack in the otter's lair.

Petting sting rays! Stingy!

It's hard to tell, but this stingy was literally scaling the tank walls to get out. He was poking out of the water at one point. A little alarming.

And of course when we asked Jack his favorite animal he said it was his little boat.  Stupid transportation always wins out with this kid.
I like this picture because I look like a Twilight vampire.  The lighting gave me red eyes and hair and pale skin. EDWARD!

Char slept through most of it.  Even the otters.
