Duke

After months of filling out applications and writing essays, Logan is almost finished applying to Law School. We have applied to 10 schools and have 3 more to apply to. We got a response from our first law school, Duke. Accepted! We probably won't know where we are going for many more months but its nice to feel like we are finally making progress. Way to go Logan!

He is wearing me out!

I can't believe how quickly Jack is growing and learning new skills. Some of his most recent are feeding himself ( as well as putting non edible things in his mouth), crawling, pulling to stand, climbing flights of stairs, and cruising along furniture. I think in the next couple weeks or so he will be walking. I can barely keep up with this kid. My house looks like a tornado hit.

Bear Lake, Again

As I have said we love Bear Lake and better yet, we love to mooch off our friends so we get to go there. Well this time is was the lovely Bennett family who pitied us and brought us along. Unfortunately Danny was out of state and didn't get to come, but we had fun playing with Seidi and Charlie. It was a quick trip, especially because it started to get stormy once we got there. We played on the beach and ate delicious food...Mmmmm! Bear Lake food is the best!

Pickett Reunion

The Pickett Reunion was a couple weeks ago. It was my parents turn to plan it. Unfortunately, not many were able to attend, but we still had a great time together. We had lunch at the park. Then the men shot clay pigeons and the women made a craft. A bit sexist isn't it? Somehow I was coerced into shooting clay pigeons with the men. My childhood memories of shooting our Halloween pumpkins came back to me. My dad would yell at me to shoot the shotgun even though I was crying and too scared to. I hated the way the gun kicked and bruised my shoulder. It was all too similar as all the Pickett men yelled at me to shoot the gun at the clay pigeon. I don't like loud noises. After the torture was over, we headed out to the cemetery to do a fun little scavenger hunt that honored our ancestors. My mom celebrated her 51st birthday while we were down so I quickly threw together a Happy Birthday cheesecake.

Camping with the Christensons

We went camping with Logan's family up Mayfield Canyon a couple weeks ago. Mayfield Canyon has a soft spot in my heart...it takes me back to my high school days with my buds. We played cards, watched the kids ride the motorbike, and ate delicious food of course!

Splash Pad

For family home evening a couple weeks ago we had a picnic at a park in Providence and played on the playground and in the Splash Pad. It was a pretty cool park and Jack had so much fun getting sprayed in the face and trying to catch the water.

We are so lucky to have our good friends the Tippetts who let us mooch off of them as much as possible. They took us to one of their many cabins up at Bear Lake (you can see why we are friends with them) over the weekend of the 24th. It was a super busy weekend to go, but oh so fun. We love Bear Lake and wish we had a chance to go up there more often. It was a weekend of game playing (blewitz!), swimming, sand castle building, Wii Mario, delicious food, and the Food Network. We were having so much fun we ended up mooching even more and staying an extra night. Also, it also turns out Jenna wasn't just a loser who couldn't stay up past ten o'clock...she is pregnant! I was secretly on to her though. Thanks Tippetts!
