With Jack being in Sunbeams now, it has been fun to see him start to understand the concepts of the Gospel and Church. It has started to feel more meaningful and worthwhile to teach him things, but it is also more intimidating too. Both him and Char love family home evening. Our lessons are short and sweet but they love the attention and the playing we do as a family. Treats are not that common yet and are usually just fruit (because they don't know any different). Here is a family home evening that we were learning about how God created the birds and bugs (we usually do the sunbeam lesson he will learn on Sunday). We made birds nests out of rice krispies and jelly beans. A week later it was General Conference weekend. Listening to Conference has become a real challenge so thank heavens they reprint them in the Ensign. We were still able to here some important principles and to spend time as a family. I am so thankful for the Gospel and the ways it blesses my family. We went on a little hike to Ivy Creek and took along a picnic between the Saturday sessions. Jack and Char loved it.
