Heber Train and more...

We met up with our good friends the Watts in Heber City to ride the Heber Creeper Train.  It was a dinosaur themed train and the kids loved it.  There was a dinosaur dig and I made the kids little dinosaur kits to take on the train.  We also ate at a yummy Mexican restaurant.  

Logan's work hosted a party at the Aquarium.  We had a yummy dinner and they rented the whole place so we got to enjoy it all to ourselves.  And I ate my weight in ice cream.

Jack did a little sports camp for a couple of weeks.  It was an introduction to lots of different sports.  He loved it and Charlotte and Holden and I enjoyed the time outside.

Exciting Ikea trips and more...

We moved to our house with pretty much no furniture.  We had sold/DI all our furniture (it was mostly DI and Walmart furniture anyway) when we moved to Virginia and had furnished apartments while we were there.  Logan and I left Jack and Char with Grandma K for a night and moved all our  boxes in.  We also did an Ikea run and grabbed what we could.  But we still needed more things so a few weeks later we went back.  The plan was to run in and grab a few things and then go to Seven Peaks for the day.  To our surprise, the kids thought Ikea was the greatest place ever.  We ended up spending three hours there roaming the place and then eating lunch.  We never made it to Seven Peaks.  

We have become fans of hiking.  There are a few fun trails around here and we still have more to explore.  We have also loved having a backyard and a hose (the kids love the hose).  We got a little pool  for them to play in when we don't want to make the trip to the public pool.  Staci and Scott and the kids have been able to come up a few times to stay with us.  We love having guests.  Jack especially loves it when cousins come to visit. 

My sister's birthday and Bruce's birthday fall in June, along with father's day.  We were able to have a birthday/father's day dinner for Bruce and I made a cake for Staci's birthday.  I made her a Barbie cake which was our favorite birthday cake childhood memory.  I never got one, but one year Staci did and I still remember it. 

I signed Jack up for an Iddy Biddy Ball Camp.  He seemed to mostly enjoy it, although he would get a little distracted at times and would rather just run around and play. 

My dad is a KSL classified addict.  And now that I am up north, he will take any opportunity to have me go pick something up for him.  I told him he is limited to one KSL run a month.  He had us pick up a power wheel for him.  We couldn't arrange a way to get it to Gunnison for a few weeks so it lived at our house.  Jack and Char loved it and were sad to see it go.  It makes me want to get one for Christmas....
