A bunny who lays eggs?

This is a little late, but Easter weekend was fabulous. We went to G town to spend time with the family. Staci and the boys were down from Colorado which made our visit all the better. Mom pulled a Grandma Mathews by having a bunny theme for the weekend. Seriously, the house was spewing with bunnies - the boys loved it. We also dragged the kids out of bed early Saturday morning for the Easter egg hunt at the park. It was freezing cold and lets face it-not fun. Adam was terrified of the Easter bunny and wouldn't stop flopping on the ground in fear and Logan took an unhappy Jack home early. Regardless, Will did get a good loot of candy and I got some great pictures of Adam. Later that day we went down to Loa to visit Grandma and Grandpa Chappell. It was the first time they had seen Jack. Then we went to a place called Sun Glow to eat delicious Bruce Burgers and build a fire.

Later that week was Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center- a favorite in the Christenson home. Jack basically slept the whole time, but by pushing a stroller around, Logan and I didn't look like losers running around petting bunnies and ducks like we used to. And if two hours of pure baby animals wasn't enough, we went to the Willow Park Zoo the next week.

The boys- Wills, Adam, and Jack

What's going on here? Isn't this picture straight out of the 50s?
Adam staring at his soon to be enemy.
Poor kid. I can't blame him- that rabbit is just waiting to chew a child up. Terrifying.

William and his proud bucket of candy.
I love this picture.

Jack didn't love the cold wind at Sun Glow.

Oh Lafe...

Jack at Baby Animals. He's just thrilled to be there.
Cochino.

They had baby bears this year! My gads they were spectacular. Just like baby humans, but covered in fur. Pure Genius.
The cutest baby bear of all. We decided to take this one home.
Baby turtles. Like the size of a quarter...and I hear they can also be used as currency in some countries.
The beautiful Wellsville Mountains behind us.

Ducks!

Bobcat

There was this cool wall- I couldn't help but take some family pics by it.

Jack is getting so big. 17 weeks old now. He is learning to grab and suck on everything and has finally learned to laugh.

Tummy Time!

The Scene is Safe!

I don't know if its because I just had a baby and my maternal instincts have kicked in or perhaps its my spidey sense tingling that its the end of the world, but I'm all about emergency preparedness these days. We have started a 8+ part series of Emergency Preparedness Family Home evenings. These exciting FHEs consist of thrilling topics such as: infant CPR and safety, food storage, home security, fire safety, and so on. My favorite was when we practiced infant CPR and Heimlich on Jack. As well as when we practiced crawling through smoke while carrying him. I wanted to time us running out of the house and meeting at our safety spot in case of a fire, but Logan drew the line there.

Baby Push Ups

Logan entertains Jack in ways that I would never think of. These include baby torpedo, baby push ups, and many other random activities. What's amazing is that they actually work in calming him down and making him happy (I'm referring to Jack not Logan). Baby push ups are Jack's favorite. He always looks so proud to be soaring high above us.

12 hours on the road and still alive

We did it. We successfully went on a snowboarding trip. I thought my snowboarding days were over with Jack being born in December, but we managed a trip to Sundance so the tradition will live on. We took Lafe and Madee and their funny little friends Colby and Jana. It was a successful trip with no injuries. I only fell once, but for some reason felt it for days. It made me feel old.
Jack and I are suffering from Ricketts so we decided to get some vitamin D and join Mysha, Ella, Kym and Rylie for a little sun and duck feeding. Jack enjoyed the ducks so much he fell asleep.
Logan and I also took Jack later in the week for some duck feeding. What can I say, we love ducks.
Logan went with some classmates and professors to Boston to present his research at a Engineering conference; my mom and I decided to do a little road trip to visit Staci and the boys in Colorado. Say what? Talk about a boring 9 hour drive. My favorite part was the diesels. I forgot that three month old babies don't like being strapped down for 7 hours at a time, so after Jack's first break down, we decided to take the trip a little slower and take breaks. Our drive home totaled 12 hours. Ugh. It was a wonderful trip overall though, with highlights such as the butterfly pavilion, swimming, a dinosaur park and Texas Roadhouse! Well worth the drive. And again, I've included endless pictures of Jack. Lets just say I'm making up for the fact there are about three blurry pictures of me as a baby.

Kym chasing after Rylie. He was constantly trying to dive in the lake. Haha.

Will and Adam with the glove puppies I made them.

We made the boys butterfly hats for the museum.

Jack loved his.

This moment goes down in history. Staci and I share an almost life-altering case of arachnophobia. (perhaps it has something to do with the fact that our dad made us watch the movie Arachnophobia as small innocent children). We both decided to face our fears and hold the museum's friendly tarantula Rosie.

I couldn't look. I later had the tarantula crawl on Jack's face to make sure he doesn't grow up with the phobia too.

More Ducks!
Runner ducks are our favorite. They are so tall, it feels like they should have arms. They remind of the Seinfeld when that lady walks without swinging her arms.
Again, Jack is thrilled to be there.

Just chillin.

Just for the record I don't make Logan pose. I just ALWAYS have my camera near by.
