We did it. We successfully went on a snowboarding trip. I thought my snowboarding days were over with Jack being born in December, but we managed a trip to Sundance so the tradition will live on. We took Lafe and Madee and their funny little friends Colby and Jana. It was a successful trip with no injuries. I only fell once, but for some reason felt it for days. It made me feel old.
Jack and I are suffering from Ricketts so we decided to get some vitamin D and join Mysha, Ella, Kym and Rylie for a little sun and duck feeding. Jack enjoyed the ducks so much he fell asleep.
Logan and I also took Jack later in the week for some duck feeding. What can I say, we love ducks.
Logan went with some classmates and professors to Boston to present his research at a Engineering conference; my mom and I decided to do a little road trip to visit Staci and the boys in Colorado. Say what? Talk about a boring 9 hour drive. My favorite part was the diesels. I forgot that three month old babies don't like being strapped down for 7 hours at a time, so after Jack's first break down, we decided to take the trip a little slower and take breaks. Our drive home totaled 12 hours. Ugh. It was a wonderful trip overall though, with highlights such as the butterfly pavilion, swimming, a dinosaur park and Texas Roadhouse! Well worth the drive. And again, I've included endless pictures of Jack. Lets just say I'm making up for the fact there are about three blurry pictures of me as a baby.
The boys

The girls

Jack's excitement over the ducks.

Kym chasing after Rylie. He was constantly trying to dive in the lake. Haha.
Will and Adam with the glove puppies I made them.
We made the boys butterfly hats for the museum.

Jack loved his.

This moment goes down in history. Staci and I share an almost life-altering case of arachnophobia. (perhaps it has something to do with the fact that our dad made us watch the movie Arachnophobia as small innocent children). We both decided to face our fears and hold the museum's friendly tarantula Rosie.
I couldn't look. I later had the tarantula crawl on Jack's face to make sure he doesn't grow up with the phobia too.
More Ducks!

Runner ducks are our favorite. They are so tall, it feels like they should have arms. They remind of the Seinfeld when that lady walks without swinging her arms.

Again, Jack is thrilled to be there.

Just chillin.

Just for the record I don't make Logan pose. I just ALWAYS have my camera near by.

Funny- when I look at the pic of me holding a spider it gives me the creeps. Very cute pics of Jackie Chan. Can't wait to see him again!
Love Staci
Twelve hours! Even I can't handle twelve hours! Poor Jack! Babies have the worst ADD I swear! Kudos on letting a humongous hairy creepy yucky spider stand on your hand! Gross! Also, keep those pictures of Jack coming! He has the prettiest eyes and most perfect face! I just cant get over it! :)
When I first logged onto your website, I thought it was a mistake. I was no longer greeted by MC Hammer or his balloon pants.
I LOVE this post of yours! What a fun time you must have had in Colorado. I must say that I'm quite jealous!
Captain Jack is the most precious thing EVER! (Next to my kids, naturally). I can't wait to hold him. Again, PLEASE pinch those cheeks for me!
Miss you guys tons!
P.S. Jason and I are VERY pleased that Capt. Jack was able to have Rosie crawl around on his face. This little fact made our day and realize that you're really doin' ok as a first time mommy! ha ha ha.
Hey looks like you are adjusting to mommy life well! Looks like you guys are so happy.
Let me get this straight...you were afraid of spiders cause your dad made you watch a movie. And yet, you think that putting a giant spider on your baby's face will prevent him from suffering of the same fear. You are wise!!! Love the pics! What some great candid moments of Jack!
Oh ya, I forgot to ask, "Why is J-Lo holding Jack by a pond with ducks in it?" I didn't know you guys were friends.
Love, Staci
Where is MC? Jack is adorable and so is the duck. Blake and I also enjoy feeding and looking at ducks. We must share something in common...
