-They were responsible for the plague.....oh wait, scratch that
-They make great pets- of all the rodent pets they are the cleanest and friendliest
-They love people and will learn your voice. You can call them by name and they will come
-They are smart and easily trained. You can teach them to fetch, stand, sit, etc
-When a rat is happy, it grinds it teeth which sounds like a kitten purring
Like the old saying goes- don't knock it till you've tried it.

OK - I'll give you the fact that they are pretty cute - until you see that TAIL of theirs. For some reason, it creeps me out. And I'm impressed that you've been able to train your rats. Gracie would love them, no doubt. She already calls all rodents Erskin!
