Farewell to friends and more

Summer was winding down but it felt like it was just starting for us since most of our summer was consumed by the bar.  We got together with the Picketts for a family reunion at Marilyn's house.

We used our passes and went to Seven Peaks a few times.  Once with Staci and Scott's family and once with Miranda and Gracy.  We also saw Anna and Elsa from the movie Frozen at Seven Peaks.  I have no idea why the Disney princesses were there but sure, we'll take it.  Char was pretty shy as it was happening but wouldn't stop talking about it after.

We did lots of swimming and I even let Jack and Char take a dollar to get an ice cream from the ice cream truck.  Jack still talks about it to this day.

We said farewell to our dear Watts family.  They were in law school with us from day one.  Erin and I both had two babies in Virginia around the same time and we both have our oldest boys who are close in age.  So we are twinners with them.  They are from Salt Lake so they were here this summer living with family before they headed to NYC for work.  We miss them lots.  Jack still talks about Liam most days.

Since Logan works downtown right across from the temple, the kids and I like to go down and visit from time to time.  They love playing at City Creek and at Temple Square.  Its a fun excuse to steal Logan for lunch.

We love County Fairs in the summer.  We went to two different ones, one in Odgen and the other in Farmington.  Jack did a tractor pull and we saw live sharks at the one in Odgen.  He was going to ride in a monster truck in the Farmington fair but thankfully it was broken down.  The crazy mom in me started getting nervous at the thought of that.  But we did catch a princess show for Charlotte which she loved.

We also did some fishing this summer.  Did we catch anything?  No.  I'd like to see you catch a fish with two kids who throw rocks in and a newborn who is always eating.  But we still had fun going.

We were able to have the Guynns and the Bylunds come over for games while they both were passing through Utah.  It was way fun.  We always enjoy their company and we laugh and laugh.  We miss them so much too.

Miranda and Gracy came up to stay with us.  We love it when they stay.  We did some more Seven Peaks and some more fishing.  We also went on a little hike and went up to Farmington pond to swim.
