Farewell Elder Christenson

Logan's little brother Lafe received his mission call to the Tampa Florida Spanish speaking mission.  We are all super excited but of course we miss him a lot.  Lafe and his cats.  The weekend before he left, the family went up the mountain for a dinner.  There was a quick downpour of rain.  We waited it out in the car until it stopped but it was still super muddy.  We sure miss Lafe!

John Jeremiah Fun Run and more

Still catching up here.  I am getting behind.  We had a cousin camp out at the Jacksons house.  Staci made a yummy dinner and we roasted giant marshmallows.  The boys taught Jack how to have a sword fight which he thought was pretty cool.  We lit some sparklers and played a few rounds of night games which was new for the boys and pretty funny to watch.  I also went with Logan's family to Wayne County to visit grandma and grandpa Chappell and to go to Fish Lake.  Logan had to work that day but met up with us in Gunnison later.  Fish Lake was a blast and Grandma Alice even rented a boat so the kids could go for boat rides.  The 4th of July was fun as usual.  The Lynn Pickett reunion and the Standley Pickett reunion was held over the Fourth too so it was a busy weekend of fun. The Standley Pickett reunion consisted of a dinner, fireworks and a zip line.  The Lynn Pickett reunion consisted of a backhoe rodeo, clay pigeon shooting, a Quidditch tournament, a power wheel rodeo, and The Second Annual John Jeremiah Fun Run.  Turns out we are quite the competitive family.

This is just a weird picture of my dad after he taped a circle of paper to his head because his hat got ruined and he didn't want his bald spot to get burned.

We aren't sure exactly what happened, but Jack was riding the power wheels when he ran into a pole in the tree house which knocked a shovel down and it landed on his head.  The point is he had a GIANT goose egg.  The pictures don't do it justice.

I love this picture.  The John Jeremiah Second Annual Fun Run was a success!

Winners.  Logan took first in the fun run (by far) and I somehow managed to be the first woman to finish.  

Team Kim Pickett killed it.  Really they all ran really well.

Justin and my dad marked the route the night before.  There were some jokes as well as some misleading information along the way.  For example this guides Staci and Sara into a field.

The run was along Farmers Freeway and Hal's farm.  A pretty run.
