Joy Lake

Oh did I say Joy Lake?  I meant Bear Lake.  The names are interchangable because I always feel such joy at Bear Lake.  Back in June our dear friends the Tippets allowed us to mooch again and spend time with them at their cabin in Bear Lake.  Jack and Macie were good frenemies while we were there and Charlotte got double the torture from two kids instead of one.  We always have a good time with the Tippets and can't wait for another trip with them.

Jenna and I tried to throw together a Happy Father's Day breakfast.  We were somewhat successful.  If only we had brought four more pounds of meat the Daddy's would have been really happy.

Jordan River Temple

 One of our recent FHEs was to visit the temple.  We got some ice cream (which for some reason took forever.  I am still mad at Maverick for having a broken fro-yo machine) and went to the Jordan River Temple.  Jack likes to look for the angel on top of temples. We mostly just hung out, ate ice cream and talked about the temple.  It was a beautiful day and a successful FHE.

Binkday

My sister came up to visit in June.  We had lots up fun letting the cousins play together.  We braved Seven Peaks, had fun at the Castle Park and then threw together a little birthday BBQ for Staci.  It was so fun and made me jealous to taste of what it's like to have siblings close by and to know that will soon be gone.  

I watched the babies at the castle park while Staci took the kids into the crazy castle maze of death.

It was kind of last minute.  I made a chocolate mint cake that everyone was nice enough to cram down although it wasn't the best.  Happy 28 Binks!

POP

Meet my new best friend POP.  No not my father (although he is great too), but the Pass of all Passes we bought.  These special little gems give us access to many water parks and fun centers around the valley.  They have been such a great purchase and have helped to reduce the albino pigment in my skin.

Mama's takin us to the zoo tomorrow is one of my favorite songs by Raffi so I had to use that title.  But seriously we did go to the zoo.  My Aunt Marilyn was so kind to take us and get us in for free with her pass. Jack loved the elephants and seals the most.  He seemed a bit confused because the only other time we have been to the zoo was the zoo in Virginia where you got to feed  most animals and ride the elephants.  He was disappointed that that was not allowed here.

I don't even know where to start

What? It's mid July?  We have had mounds of fun since we have been here and the lack of posts on my blog are proof that we have barely had a moment to breath (in a good way).  So I have given up on organization and will just post loads of pictures.  So prepare yourself for pictures galore in the coming days.
