Charlotte's blessing

We blessed Charlotte on May 27th at Logan's parent's house.  We are so transitional right now that we don't really have a home ward so we decided to do it there.  I am glad we did.  We had only immediate family come and then had a light snack and dessert afterwards.  Charlotte is a great baby.  So it was a bit surprising when she began to scream right as the blessing started and through out the whole prayer.  She stopped once it was over.  Haha.  Silly girl.  I was praying she would stop crying through most of it that I missed a lot of the blessing, but luckily my sister wrote it down for me so I read it later.  It was a great blessing and I am so blessed and thankful Logan has the Priesthood to bless our family.

Booties made by Grandma Chappell.  So pretty.

Aunt Heather gave her this adorable crocheted flower with a sweet poem.  She wears it as a bracelet at her blessing, in her hair at her baptism and as a guarder when she is married.  So cute.

Number Eight

Our eighth move.  Second cross country.  This time around it took us five days, we were a bit slower than last.  All in all it was good.  Our kids did great.  It was just long of course.  The first night we got to the hotel, went swimming in the pool and had pizza delivered to our room.  This became the standard that Jack expected every night.  He was especially disappointed when we finally did arrive to Utah at our new home and asked us where the pool and pizza was.

Pit stop.  Playing through the rummage of the back of a gas station.

We had little prizes along the way he got to open for good behavior.

Jack loved the little refrigerators almost more than the pool.  The first night he discovered it he was fascinated and played with it for about an hour.  He called it "Jack' little fridge".

He was a little cautious at first.

And then he was dangerously comfortable with it.

Pizza!

He loved playing in the car.  We would drive for eight or nine hours and all he wanted to do was play in the car.  He called this his little cave.  When we buckled him in he would cry, "I want to play in my little cave!"
Pit stop at an airplane.
If only there was more time.
A small detour to Nauvoo.
I will bring this to the hospital with me next time I have a baby and it will keep me from complaining.

The wall of names by the Mississippi River of those that sacrificed so much.

Jack throwing a fit. Poor kid.

The Mississippi.
The temple!
We did get one flat that put us back a few hours but it worked out fine.

Pit stop.

A yummy little restaurant we found.
Hot tub.
A pit stop for lunch.
We did it!
This happy little leaf made it all the way from Virginia.  It was stuck in our wind shield and we watched it all the way.

Packing

Burn it all.  I never want to own things again.  Why?  Because it means I have to pack and move them.  We recently did our eighth move (and second cross country).  Why we thought it would be a good idea to have a baby, undergo finals and pack up our house and move across the country in a matter of months, I don't know.  But none the less we did it.  Jack was "super" helpful as I attempted to pack up our house.  He assisted me by making roads out of the packing boxes and randomly packing things that I was not aware of.  In an attempt to get some things done I bought Jack some special "Packing Toys" to get out only when I was trying to pack.  They actually worked pretty good and he still refers to them as his Packing Toys.  More to come on our road trip.
Jack making roads for his cars to drive on.

Playing with his Packing toys.  He is pretending Charlotte is playing a horn.

He built a temple with angles on top.

Here he is pretending they are cars.

And here they are weights.

Three months

Charlotte is three months old today!  It has flown by.  Here is the latest with Char:
She is a super happy, chill baby.
She loves to sleep and is already sleeping 10 hours through the night before she eats and then usually falls asleep for another two to three hour nap after that and takes a few more naps through out the day.  I tell you she loves to sleep.
It doesn't take much to get her to smile.
I have been meaning to post this, but her stomach is no longer a problem and the specialist "gave her her graduation hat" from the clinic.  He actually used that term which confused me and yes I did hang around in the doctors office for an extra 15 minutes waiting for them to present her a tiny graduation hat.  Turns out it was just a figure of speech.  The point is, she is fine! Yay!
She loves to eat and suck on anything and everything except a bottle and pacifier.  It has been a month long struggle but we are finally getting her to take a bottle so we can feed her in the car while we drive home.  She still says no to the pacifier.
She loves Jack and will smile with excitement and flinch in fear simultaneously when he comes by.
She isn't a huge fan of tummy time but loves to do what Jack calls "standers".  It's when I put her in standing position so she can push off the floor with her feet.  She gets excited and kicks her little legs.

Fisty

I am totally stealing the word "fisty" from my sister but I like it.  Charlotte has been obsessed with her hands lately.  Every chance she gets she is working on getting her fist in her mouth.  And so we call her hand fisty.  It's hilarious to watch her arm flail about and punch her in the face as she tries to get it in.  And if she every does land it she gets over excited and it slips right back out.  She has also made some friends, parrot and turtle, that hang above her in the swing.  She talks to them and laughs at them.  She is getting so big so fast!
